Supply Chain and Governance Technician

Location: Brize Norton, Oxfordshire (minimum 60% onsite)
Hours: 35 per week
Pay: £22.43/hr (PAYE) or £30.00/hr (Umbrella)
Security Clearance: BPSS to start, SC clearance required to continue
IR35: Inside

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and process procurement requests, ensuring compliance with HMG codes and buying policies.
  • Manage orders for consumables, expendables, and general procurement items.
  • Use SAP and MySupply to handle purchasing requirements, from requisition to payment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Generate procurement KPIs and reports to support continuous improvement.
  • Liaise daily with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery.
  • Support supplier performance management, including contract compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Assist with budgetary control and quarterly procurement planning.
  • Optimise stock levels and release orders based on demand analysis.
  • Lead weekly meetings with suppliers and support process improvements across procurement activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Proficiency with SAP and MS Office; knowledge of MySupply is a plus.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and a positive mindset.
  • Negotiation-level English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience over formal qualifications—your skills and attitude matter most.
