About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Building & Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of high‑value, site‑based construction projects in Belfast. This is a client‑side role, ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects from early concept through to successful handover, while working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards—working closely with internal teams, external partners and senior stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
What you’ll be doing
As a Building & Construction Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of construction projects, including:
Leading client‑side construction projects from feasibility and design through to completion and handover
Developing and managing project delivery plans, CAPEX business cases, and risk & opportunity registers
Providing clear leadership and direction to multi‑disciplinary project teams and stakeholders
Managing budgets, controlling expenditure and ensuring resources are used effectively
Ensuring all project documentation is accurate, compliant and kept up to date
Maintaining strong health & safety standards across all project activities
Identifying, managing and mitigating project risks, escalating issues where required
Building and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external partners
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from professionals who bring strong client‑side construction experience and a collaborative leadership style. You’ll ideally have:
Proven project management experience within the building and construction sector
A strong understanding of the full construction lifecycle and associated processes
Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems, including design, operation and lifecycle
The ability to translate client briefs into clear construction requirements and scopes of work
Excellent knowledge of health & safety practices
Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels
A proactive, organised approach and the ability to lead and motivate multi‑disciplinary teams
Experience using project tools such as MS Project and Google Workspace (GSuite)
Essential qualifications
A qualification in Construction or Building Services (BSc or HND), or equivalent professional experience
Relevant professional membership (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE, IET)
