We're looking for a proactive and solutions-focused Logistics Transport Media Manager to join Airbus in Broughton. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring critical transport and delivery resources are available to support production across Airbus facilities.
Working within the Transport Media Management Control Tower, you will help drive operational excellence by planning, sourcing and optimising material delivery and overseas delivery solutions, ensuring materials are available where and when they are needed.
What You'll Be Doing As Logistics Transport Media Manager, you will:
Support programme ramp-up activities through the planning and sourcing of Material Delivery Units (MDUs) and Overseas Delivery Units (ODUs)
Act as the focal point for transport media initiatives, working closely with logistics operations and project teams
Develop and implement improvements to transport and delivery solutions, ensuring they continue to meet business requirements
Coordinate transport media maintenance and repair activities with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and Packaging Service Providers (PSPs)
Lead and support projects focused on introducing new logistics and transport solutions
Collaborate with General Procurement and support tender activities for sourcing transport media
Manage and monitor CapEx and OpEx requirements and forecasting
Identify, assess and manage operational risks and opportunities
Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across logistics activities
What Success Looks Like In this role, you will help ensure:
Sufficient transport media capacity to support production requirements
Effective maintenance and replacement of transport assets
Continuous improvement of logistics processes and delivery concepts
Full adherence to safety and compliance standards
About You We're looking for someone who combines strong logistics knowledge with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You'll ideally have:
A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline, ideally with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Experience within logistics, supply chain, transport or operational planning environments
A good understanding of logistics and supply chain processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
The ability to influence and engage with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
A proactive, self-motivated and collaborative approach to work
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Desirable Experience
Experience within aerospace, manufacturing or complex supply chain environments
Project management experience, including Agile methodologies
Knowledge of delivery concepts, technical drawings or transport equipment design
